Yeah, same complaints. "But what do ya want for nuthin', rubber biscuits?"
But it's only technically not oltp, we are using it as though it is, which is why we shout such complaints. And if usenet didn't have lag, it would be a chat room :-O

Of course, I was really referring to geographic independence with browsers, which is something no old-style programming can do. VPN notwithstanding, the pipe is never big enough.

It's too bad browsers are associated with eye-candy, the thin-client adjustable-size-window-from-anywhere paradigm is quite a good idea.
