I guess you missed the OP as well, which I and, one would logically assume, everyone else here were responding to:

Note the repeated use of the word "we." As in this decision is for the shop, not the individual for his own growth or gain. Daniel's post was in response to the OP (and my response to the OP) and gave a rather selfish reason, personal financial consideration, as his first reason for picking one over the other.
