It is an obsolete bundle of Oracle's design and developement tools (Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle Designer to name some).

Current version is Oracle9i Developer Suite. This contains a LOT more tools and highlights Oracle JDeveloper (Java developement environment). It's available at http://otn.oracle.com where you can look at information and documentation and download software.

You can still buy Developer-2000 from some unscrupulous third parties. Know that it is obsolete technically, it does not work [well] against the current databases, and is not supported by Oracle. Received on Tue Jan 20 2004 - 10:31:52 CST
