Thank you. But the point I was trying to make is that even terribly written code on poorly architected systems can look good if one doesn't push it hard: For example running on a single-user system.

Based on what was written it is my opinion that had Oracle's capabilities been pushed with respect to scalability, etc. what seems to work just fine ... wouldn't have.

But don't worry about me assuming you ran the company. The way many are run these days it seems no one is. ;-)
