It's the 'Device Driver', that RMAN can use.
I used quotes, as it is not the same as a device driver
the OS can use - it needs hooks to the application(s), in
this case RMAN.
If you cannot use the DLT directly, (e.g. type boot.log>dlt)
I fail to see how you could export directly.
How large is the export, anyway? Any chance of temporarily storing on disk?
