I lied. Well, it's true, but the 24 hour period had no data! It was using a date of 3 NOV - 4 NOV and there is not data there anymore because we keep only 6-8 days worth. So when I tried it on a current 24 hour period covering 11 NOV, it failed with rollback segment too small. Then I tried your suggestion with another - combined them and was able to scan a 60 minute (1 hour) period in 24 seconds. Still a little slow.
