Hi Mike,

I have not seen either book and I am not an expert on Oracle Financial's security so cannot comment on the value of each book from a financial's security point of view but i do know a bit about the core database security.

There are three book available on Oracle security, the O'Reilly book "Oracle Security" by Theriault and Heney, the Oracle press book "Oracle security handbook" by Theriault and Newman and finally the SANS "Oracle security step-by-step" by Pete Finnigan. You might be also interested in a bunch of papers on my site http://www.petefinnigan.com/orasec.htm. There are two new books coming out soon, one on 10g security by David Knox and Arup Nanda, Don Burleson's book on HPIIA Oracle security. There is also Oracle's documentation of course!.

hth

kind regards

Pete
