You can run export, look up the syntax, to verify logical integrity. No
need to export data to do this.
If this is a production box someone had better take this a bit more
seriously than "we have a hands
off policy until it crashes into the ground and burns. Which is where it
may well be headed. You have
more than a serious problem if trying to grant a privilege hangs
indefinitely: Treat it as such.
