Hi,

are there any efforts to develop a standardized programming language for databases?

I'm using PL/SQL a lot - it's a strong language. But only usefull for Oracle databases. There are other languages for other databases. So for customer perspective it would be the best to have one language that can be used with all databases. Similar to SQL.
