Just that 10g has been officially announced, Beta copies look great, and
I would expect it will be released very soon with pricing that will make
it a very attractive option.
There is a compelling reason to put 10g into development and testing. There is no sane person that would put 10g into a line-of-business production environment until it is fully vetted and that can't take less than a year. Take a look at how long it was between Oracle's release of 9.0.1 and 9.0.2 to 9.2 when Oracle was willing to move their own internal apps off 8.1.7? Will this be diferent? Hopefully. But I believe in being on the cutting edge ... not the bleeding edge. Let someone else write the first TAR.
