Hi!
How can I (in 8i) define costs for an operator?
For a function, it can be done using ASSOCIATE STATISTICS WITH FUNCTIONS...
but
when I try that with my operator, Oracle says that it doesn't exist.
I tried creating a function like
CREATE FUNCTION my_x(a IN NUMBER, b IN LONG) RETURN NUMBER AS
rslt NUMBER;
BEGIN
SELECT x(a, b) INTO rslt FROM dual;
RETURN rslt;
END;
Worked, but it is terribly slow.
This must be a problem that can be solved, but I don't know how.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
/ Erik
