Karstan,
You are not half bad for one ugly Oracle DBA
In Oracle 8i
I added a user called sys as administrator with blank password in NT users
Then I also added the line
sqlnet.authentication_services=(nts).
Then I tried to login
with sys / blank password ...it did not work
But when I tried sys / change_on_install......fuck....it worked
(BTW I did not need a host string in popup window)
I was also able to loginto Oracle Administrative Assistant successfully using same user / pw.
But to me this does not make sense unless the user "sys" has to be in NT admin group (with one password...blank in my case) but the same motherfucker "sys" has a different password "change_on_install" in the Oracle realm.............does this make sense ?
Anyway I am having trouble with 9i
But I have not investigated it.
However in 9i , as you said it did force me to change the PW (I know
what it is) but won't let me in. I guess I have to add the user "sys"
again ...you think......... or are there any additional stuff I have to do ?
Thanks anyway......but stop fucking flaming me in a separate post I accept your apology (implied by your being a good boy by responding to me) I forgive you :)
