Don't you think Oracle Corp. have no incentive to do this? They've got the market for big database servers cornered so they don't need to worry about losing customers.

Also, if they made it easier to use, they'd reduce their income from training and consultancy. Why else would they be preparing to bring out Oracle 10 when plenty of users haven't even started using Oracle 9? Think of all the cash they'll make from the 'Oracle 10 new features' courses and books. Not to mention all of the DBAs who'll want to get recertified.

Cynical? Me?
