What is your specific need that you are 'evaluating' a version that was desupported more than a year ago, known to be full of bugs, and the 8i productline to be desupported end of this year? Running a 3rd party app somewhere which isn't able to support 9i, which will be replaced by 10i in January, so you are forced to remain in prehistory?

If you would be evaluating Ford, you won't search for a T-Ford either, do you?
