Would you save 3 when you meant pi? Would you save 5 when you meant 12? Would you save 1.6180339887 or –0.6180339887 (anyone know what those two numbers are?) when you meant 1234567890? I wouldn't. I'd save what I meant to save. If I mean 5, then save 5. If I mean 3, then I'd save 3. If I didn't know what I meant, then I'd save NULL.
