Now I check the log fille. It shows

Fatal NI connect error 12545, connecting to:

(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=192.168.0.230)(PORT=1521))(CONNECT _DATA=(SID=TMS)(CID=(PROGRAM=C:\oracle\ora90\bin\sqlplus.exe)(HOST=TMS10)(US ER=NBronke))))

  VERSION INFORMATION:
TNS for 32-bit Windows: Version 9.2.0.1.0 - Production  Windows NT TCP/IP NT Protocol Adapter for 32-bit Windows: Version 9.2.0.1.0 - Production
  Time: 18-MAI-2003 18:19:37
  Tracing not turned on.
  Tns error struct:
    nr err code: 0
    ns main err code: 12545
TNS-12545: Verbindungsversuch nicht erfolgreich, weil Ziel-Host oder -Objekt nicht vorhanden ist

    ns secondary err code: 12560
    nt main err code: 515
TNS-00515: Verbindung nicht erfolgreich. Ziel-Host oder -Objekt nicht vorhanden.

    nt secondary err code: 1004
    nt OS err code: 0

but I cannot decode it. (Please do not be iconfused because of Oracle 9i. This is only my client and the problem also occurs from Ora 8.1.7 clients)

Interesting is, that if I restart the listenerthe connection works for a while.

Any Ideas?

Regards
