It depends.
The process could be as easy as just recompiling using the 9i (R1 or R2) utilities or MANY changes might be needed. It depends upon which constructs were used in the 6i objects. The sad reality is that a number of the 6i BUILTINs are no longer supported in 9i. The only way to know for sure is to install 9i & run a batch job to compile all your existing forms & reports and check the results for errors.

FWIW - I'm supporting both 6i C/S & 9i webforms from the same code base. HOWEVER, some changes were required to obtain compatibility between the two versions. Received on Sat Apr 12 2003 - 08:59:43 CDT
