I think that the right solution was not to cross-post to the c.d.o.server,
c.d.o.misc and c.d.o but post them ads only in c.d.o.tools and c.d.o.marketplace
where they are (I think) appropriate. Not completely sure about .tools,
but .marketplace is indeed the right place. Daniel is known (at least to me) to hate spam in any form and announcement like yours in an inappropriate NG is sure to kick-start his negative reaction. ;) Minding the amount of unsolicited mail I'm receiving these days, and noting your own email address (with double 'remove_') I'm not that surprised by his reaction either. ;)
