Report Error

A customised report that we use with Oracle Core Applications 11.0.3 has the following message in the output.

lwf: bad character in input

Nothing is printed on the printer, and no error status is displayed in the Requests listing.

Any idea what this could refer to? I thought it may have been # characters in the description that could be causing this. But another report with #'s works fine.
