I am involved in a project where we are considering linking SAP to an external
Oracle database. The method we would like to use for the link is Oracle's DBLINK functionality. I would like to know if anyone is currently using DBLINK to maintain data on a remote database in a production environment. The info that I would like to obtain is:

  1. The versions of Oracle used.
  2. Is there Insert, Update and Delete activity against the remote DB.
  3. How long in production.
  4. Issues if any.
  5. Is there any connection to an SAP system?

Thanks in advance to any feedback provided.
