FWIW - I've done it on Solaris boxes.
Start with V9.0.2.0.1
Be sure to apply "Core" patchset to BOTH the Infrastructure
and non-Infrastructure trees.
Apply Patchset 1 to the BI components if using Forms
and/or Reports Servers.
Make sure the Infrastructure is operational BEFORE
proceeding to the remaining components.
Be sure to RTFM & closely follow the directions.
