Application migration and database access, scripts/mini apps to scope size of migration?

Are there mini apps out there for scoping java application migration to Oracle (from sybase)?

I have been tasked to find all the database accesses points in order to scope a migration to oracle. I have done this for Microsoft Visual Basic applications. This is a small enough task, but I was wondering has this task been automated or summarised for other languages, specifically server side java, shell, xml and perl?

If not, I hope to make my simple (beta) bash scripts available at a later date, I was hoping someone else had got there first and was in a position to make their small tools, and/or knowledge base(/summary) available.
