bottom line: open source apache running on unix servers is used in heck of a lot more places than Microsoft IIs (more than 65% or so), and yet IIs encounters lots more problems.

btw, linux is only a "pale" minority in DESKTOPS, but has a large userbase in servers (and if you add other unix servers, then you get an even larger base). don't confuse desktops with servers, where microsoft does not even come close to dominating. Received on Tue Jan 28 2003 - 07:27:58 CST
