maybe I hadn't explain well myself.
What I meant was that there are different parameters to set up when you conceive a DB for a web application or for a batch application. I know very well what a database is but I know as much that the applications work better if you set up the DB in the proper way. I'm finding some books or articles in which somebody explains the correct policies to build a DB destinated to work in a web environment, with the explanation of real exeperiences.
