Hi,

First of all: I try to understand the registry (in detail). Can someone help me (see example below)?

Secondly: Imagine I installed some products in different homes on a machine, is it possible (by editing the registry) to add a new home manually? (for example: copy a whole oracle home directory from another machine and adjust the registry so the products in the copied oracle directory will work on taget machine)

thanks, Stephan

example: (can someone tell me what this all means and how Oracle uses it??)

I installed Oracle 816 in oracle-home "OraHome81" = C:\oracle\ora81 After that I installed Forms6i in different oracle-home "ORA_DEV" = C:\ORA_DEV. Now when I look at the registry I try to understand the ORACLE key and all what is in it.
First of all when I look at ORACLE I see some information saying:
- ORACLE_HOME=C:\oracle\ora81
