Hello

If my client host is on an intranet and there is a proxy server or firewall between the client and the rest of the Internet, how can I use Oracle client applications like SQLPLUS etc on the client host and connect to an Oracle server connected to the Internet outside the intranet?

Do I need to ask the proxy/firewall administrator to open the tcp/1521 port?
