You'll need to setup your networking configuration so that you can access the databases using your naming methods. If I guess that you are using tnsnames as a naming method by far the simplest thing to do would be to copy the tnsnames.ora and sqlnet.ora from your 9.0.2 home to your 9.2 home (obviously backup any files you replace first of all)
