Thanks, but looking at those registry keys doesn't really tell me whether *Oracle 8* Client is installed, as opposed to some other version.

To answer your question, I am checking company machines (with an InstallShield) to see whether Oracle 8 Client is installed, and if not, then the InstallShield will launch the Oracle Setup.exe from a network location. It's that simple. Received on Fri Sep 20 2002 - 01:03:30 CDT
