I don't post to these types of newsgroups often, but I have a situation where a user has Oracle 8 installed on his machine, and there is an older application that runs on that machine that utilizes Oracle 7.3. The application that uses the 7.3 instance is not working. I think the registry settings are set up for Oracle 8 on the machine, which clashes with the registry settings that were there for 7.3 instance. Will two applications that utilize different versions of the Oracle database work on the same machine? What is the best way to fix it?
