Update from object types with type or table dependents

Hello,
I'm new in Oracle 9.i and have following problem: If I try to insert a new object type in an already existend type, which contains type or table dependents, I become these Error Message:

VBO-1509: Data source could not be updated. Please disconnected and try again. ORA-2303: cannot drop or replace a type with type or table dependents
