That part is undoubtedly true. I once had a request to prompt TWICE before dropping a table. Someone had dropped a table and every drop function in TOAD prompts first with the default button being NO. So this person clicked on yes and his DBA wanted a second verification. But how far do you go to protect people from themselves? This same developer could just as easily typed DROP TABLE XXX in Sql*Plus and produced the same disastor.
