I have a large database (10m rows or so) and when I try to do an insert I get this error:

ORA-0600: Internal Error Code:
arguements:[ktfbbsearch-7],[125],[],[],[],],[],[]

I have solved the problem by putting the table in a new tablespace with Local Management and Uniform Allocation. But the question remains why this is necessary? Is this an Oracle bug? The original tablespace had Automatic Allocation ... and it failed above a certain size.

This problem is solved, but in the interests of learning more about Oracle, I would love to know why this happens?
