The only thing you hav to watch out for, is that you cannot upgrade or add patches, for example if you install 8.1.7.0 then try to upgrade to 8.1.7.X it always fails and you have an unusable database. but you can directly install 8.1.7.x.

I have not ben able to trace the problem, but syspect it relates to the libs.
