true but if you do use ODBC you don't have to use Oracle's driver there are others most notably microsofts which is likely available on any windows client whatsoever because it gets installed as part of mdac which gets installed by more or less everyting that ms make including the os and browser.

OK I'll shut up now because this has become excessively pedantic and thats my fault.
