fail safe

Hello ,

I need a information about Failsafe for windows NT . It seems that Failsafe is for a single database that use 2 clusters , one of them is active and the other one non active . In case that one of the node fall down , the other one will start almost automatically .
But what happens in case , the problem is not on the node but on the database itself .
Let's say for example that someone delete one of the redolog file . What will happen to the database ?
