Hi,

I installed Oracle 8i for Win NT (8.1.7) on Win 2000.

Some tools need a management server. After reading docs and news-threads I wanted to start the OracleOraHome81ManagementService in
"services" of Win2000 manually. But there isn't one :-(

I only have

"OracleOraHome81Agent"
"OracleOraHome81ClientCache"
"OracleOraHome81DataGatherer"
"OracleOraHome81HTTPServer"
"OracleOraHome81PagingServer"
"OracleOraHome81TNSListener"
"OracleOraHome81myDB"

Can someone help? Any suggestions?

And BTW: What is the management server doing?

Thx in advance

Conny
