So... if i have sqlplus (oracle client 8.1.5) in a red hat linux machine, i should be able to connect to
the oracle 9 Server that is in a windows 2000 Advanced server ?

Is this correct ?

It is strange because my Sqlplus (8.1.5) gives me a timeout to the 9i while connects perfectly to a oracle 8.1.5 server...

Thanks in advance

best regards,

Nuno
