Further, the H1B visa program is still allowing docile, desparate non-citizens to come around and take citizens' jobs.

I am surprised the Bay Area has not stampeded the immagration orfices, I mean offices in protest. Where are the hippies when you need them?

Programmers have very little political protection, and deep-pocketed companies can dump huge amounts into political lobbying org's that allow crap like the H1B program.

Geeks are getting trampled. It is a fact of life that if a group does not protect themselves politically, somebody will take advantage of that. That is just reality in the age of PAC's.
