Install Oracle 8i client on new computer

I am having trouble installing oracle 8i on a brand new win 2000 SP2
machine.  When I click on the Install/Deinstall Products button on the
autorun screen, I get a wait cursor for a few seconds and then nothing.  It
seems like the Java stuff is not coming up.  Anyone have any ideas?
