Solaris 8
Sun sparc
Oracle8i, Release 3 (8.1.7)

I am trying to install the Oracle client software and am getting the following errors when executing the 'runInstaller' file:

Warning: Missing charsets in String to Fontset conversion

and a load of similar warnings about failed string conversions and "Unable to load any usable fontset"

The install X app then opens but is unreadable - the fonts being screwed.

Any ideas how I can get it to display and fix the fontset problem?
