newbie-problem with visual access installation

hi
i wanted to install visual-access [under windows2000]. there is oracle client 8.0 for windows2000/nt already installed. during the installation i get the following error message:

the quellpoint of prozedure "setupapi.CM_Disble_DevNode" was not found in dll "CFGMGR32.dll".
coul me somebody explain what does it mean & give any hints what should i do to be able to make this installation to the end?
