DBASSISTANT on linux not start

I have the following problem:


I have installed with success oracle 8.1.7.0.1 on linux slackware 8.
Kernel 2.4.18 but nearly all java application not starting like
dbassistant,dbastudio etc


I have tried to replace the JRE that one of IBM, disable the JITC but the
final result does not change.


Can someone help me?
