The minimum free disk space to install the Oracle software is 2GB. After that you can recover about 800MB by dropping all of the help files and tutorials if you don't want them. To the 2GB add the size of your database instance.

And preferably you will do this across a minimum of two separate hard disks and preferably five or more with the operating system on one, Oracle an another, separate physical disks for the system, rollback, temp, data, and index tablespaces as well as places for log files, control files, and perhaps archives.
