Structure of an Ora-DB

Hello.

I've searched for a long time now, but without real success.

What is the Structure of an Oracle-Database. In MySQL I've the Database, then come the tables with the data-fields inside. When I start the Admin-Tool Tora, is see there the Database, but then come some Subgroups, and the Tables are in these groups. What are these Groups?

And how can I read out some data of a table. I doesn't really understand the Documentation on php.net.

Please help.
