The basic difference between Oracle 7 and Oracle 7i is that Oracle 7i doesn't exist.

(Years ago, when Oracle 6 was released for VMS, we were getting Oracle 6.0.26 Obviously there was a joker in our org who asked what did happen to the previous 25 versions)

Of course the difference is listed in separate new feature manuals at http://otn.oracle.com. You are advised to follow that link.
