You need to read the TRM (Technical Reference Manual). If you are running 11.0 or 11i (11.5.x) you could look up the e-TRM through your MetaLink login. Login to MetaLink, select "Apps 11i & Euro Info" and scroll down till you see
"Electronic Technical Reference Manuals (eTRM)"
