Hi group,

I'm in trouble with an Oracle 8.0.4 client installed on an NT Server v4.0SP6a; other client in my network can use successfully connect to the listener via tnsping80.

This is the sqlnet.log for the offending client:

Fatal NI connect error 12222, connecting to:

(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=10.0.1.11)(PORT=1521))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=ORA1)(CID=(PROGRAM=D:\usr\ora-8.0.4\BIN\PLUS80W.EXE)(HOST=SYSNT2)(USER=Administrator))))

  VERSION INFORMATION:
        TNS for 32-bit Windows: Version 8.0.4.0.0 - Production   Time: 13-FEB-02 17:30:32
  Tracing not turned on.
  Tns error struct:
    nr err code: 12222
TNS-12222: TNS:no such protocol adapter     ns main err code: 12538
TNS-12538: TNS:no such protocol adapter     ns secondary err code: 12560
    nt main err code: 508
    TNS-00508: No such protocol adapter
    nt secondary err code: 0
    nt OS err code: 0

Any tips ? TIA
