Only part of the Oracle file system should be RAIDed. The redo logs
should not be. I would strongly suggest that you get the Oracle Press
DBA Handbook with respect to laying out your tablespaces and go to
http://technet.oracle.com and perform a search on RAID to learn about
Oracle's recommendations.
That or search this group's archives as this question has been answered many times recently.
