RAID-5 shouldn't be used for online redo logs because of the write
penalty associated with RAID-5.
The topic has been discussed often enough in this and other Oracle
related newsgroups, a search on groups.google.com should more than
enough results, and is (for any question) to be preferred above
reviving old cows.
