Hi oracle gurus,

i have a procedure that loads some data from a file and puts it in a table. I would like to trigger this procedure repeatedly after a certain duration. I want to use just oracle (no java/ c++/ vb etc). Is there a standard timer in oracle? (some kind of sleep/ wait mechanism?)

I am using Oracle 8.1.7.

Thanks a lot in advance.
